On December 4, Stanadyne announced to its local workers the closing of the production plant located in Castenedolo, in the Brescia province, Italy. The operation is expected to be completed by June 2025.

The news seems to have made only local press, which is reporting on developments especially since the local council and Confindustria (the main Italian association of manufacturing enterprises) have intervened to support the workers and find solutions for the future of the site.

Stanadyne Operating Company LLC is a US-based specialist in engine-based fuel and air management systems, in particular gasoline and diesel fuel injection systems. Since August 2023 the company belongs to an investor group led by affiliates of Cerberus Capital Management, L.P.

The Italian plant in Castenedolo manufactures diesel injection systems for industrial and power generation engines and currently employs about 100 people.
