Trelleborg Acquires Tritec Seal

Trelleborg has closed its acquisition of Tritec Seal, which produces engineered polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) sealing solutions for various industries, including agriculture, mining and oil & gas.

Trelleborg said the acquisition strengthens its product portfolio, primarily in rotary seals, while giving the business area access to increased manufacturing capacity.

Headquartered in Fenton, Michigan, USA, with additional manufacturing in Giddings, Texas, Tritec Seal generated sales of US$31 million in 2018. This bolt-on acquisition is part of Trelleborg’s strategy to strengthen its position in attractive market segments, including oil & gas and agriculture, the company said.
