Volta provides logistics support to Oktoberfest
28 September 2023
Volta Trucks, the Swedish manufacturer of the all-electric Volta Zero, has teamed up with the Paulaner Brewery Group to provide zero-emissions deliveries at this year’s Oktoberfest in Munich Germany.
The programme is part of Volta Truck’s Driving Experience programme.
Oktoberfest dates back to 1810 and is an annual event in Munich. The festival welcomes about six million people each year.
Usuf Schermo, head of Germany Sales at Volta Trucks, said, “Seeing our trucks on the streets of Munich and delivering to a world-renowned event is fantastic.
“With the organisers of Oktoberfest looking to make strides towards a greener and more sustainable event, having deliveries into the city that produce zero-tailpipe emissions is a great step towards our business goals of decarbonising city centres.”
The Volta Zero is a 16-tonne all-electric truck designed for urban logistics. The model has a range of between 150 and 200 km (95 to 125 miles).
The trucks are assembled at a contract manufacturing facility in Steyr, Austria.
