Master Marine, the Bayou La Batre, Louisiana, U.S.A., shipbuilder, announced the delivery of the M/V Tom Torretti, a 67 x 28 ft. workboat to Waterfront Services, a provider of harbor and inland waterway services including tug shifting and switching, towing and fleeting.

The vessel is powered by a pair of Mitsubishi S6R2-Y3MPTAW Tier 3 diesel engines rated 803 at 1400 rpm. The engines, which were sourced from distributor Laborde Products, are coupled to Twin Disc MG 5321 marine gears, that drive Sound Propeller Services 70 x 48 x 7 in., four-blade stainless steel propellers through J & S Machine Works Inc. 7 in. ABS Grade 2 propeller shafts with Thordon Marine Industries bearings with Thorplas bushings and shaft seals.

Laborde also provided a pair of Northern Lights M65C13.2S Tier 3 diesel generators that provide 65 kW of auxiliary power. The engine room also includes E300 electronic controls and RW Fernstrum keel coolers.

Maneuvering is through a Gulf Coast Air & Hydraulics steering system and a pair of Quincy F325 reciprocating air compressors. Climate control for the Interior spaces is through a Mitsubishi mini-split heat pump HVAC system supplied by R.S. Price & Son. Dickson Marine Supply provided a pair of Wintech 40-ton deck winches.

The vessel is set up with 10,400 gal. of fuel, 4359 gal. of potable water and 9500 gal. of ballast water, providing a maximum 7 ft. 9 in. working draft.

Waterfront Services will use the vessel for fleeting barges at its Cairo, Illinois, U.S.A., facility.
