Buffalo Turbine introduced the Cyclone eKB, described as the world’s first zero emissions, electric-powered turbine debris blower, at the Equip Exposition in Louisville, Ky. Other models featured included gasoline-powered versions ranging from 14 to 40 hp.

The new Cyclone eKB has a battery-electric drive that utilizes two 7-kW batteries to provide over two hours of continuous blowing time at maximum power output. It expands the company’s available power options, which include PTO, hydraulic and various gasoline and diesel engine-powered models.

Buffalo Turbine said the Cycle eKB is suited for residential and commercial locations where the benefits of rechargeable electric and quieter equipment are preferred. It added that the turbine force air performance is similar to its other models. Wireless remote 360-degree nozzle rotation is included.

The blower’s rugged, heavy-duty frame allows for enhanced durability. An integrated three-position retractable hitch enables flexibility in tight areas; the third position collapses entirely for space savings on a trailer or in storage.
