International sales proved an important driver for growth at Chinese construction equipment manufacturer Zoomlion in H1 2026, as international sales climbed 12.5%.

The company, which manufactures a wide range of equipment from earthmoving machinery, to cranes, MEWPs, and concrete machinery, said overall sales were up 9.2% year on year, to RMB 27.14 billion (US$4 billion) in the first half of the year.

International revenue increased to RMB 15.5 billion (US$2.3 billion), accounting for 57.3% of total revenue – an increase of 1.67 percentage points year on year.

Growth in South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, and east Asia exceeded the company’s overall international growth rate.

The company was also keen to stress the growth in its local sales, service and supply capabilities across Europe, South America, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

As of 30 June, the company has more than 30 primary business hubs, 530 secondary and tertiary outlets, more than 300 spare parts warehouses, and nearly 7,000 local employees worldwide, it said.

During the period, Zoomlion’s aerial work platform factory also began production, while it expanded a facility in Germany to a multipurpose hub.

Zoomlion’s earthmoving, mining, aerial work platform and agricultural machinery businesses generated combined revenue of approximately RMB 12.5 billion (US$1.9 billion), up about 10% and accounting for more than 46% of total revenue.

Earthmoving machinery accounted for approximately 20% of revenue and became the largest contributor to Zoomlion’s international revenue among its business segments.

Meanwhile, the company said it was advancing “embodied intelligence” through its ZValley Technology Co subsidiary, which has developed several AI robot products.
