Ruthmann has confirmed that its new 100m working height truck mount will likely be launched early next year.

The Ruthmann Steiger T 1000 HF is based on the existing 90m T 900 HF model and was first announced at APEX, which took place in Maastricht, the Netherlands this month.

It is designed to be flexible to use and will be mounted on a 53 tonne standard chassis, up to 10 tonne lighter than other 100 m machines, says the manufacturer.

The announcement at APEX was made in a spectacular manner when a team of Ruthmann employees, including the developers of the new machine, delivered an envelope containing the news to the company’s show stand by bicycle, which they had carried on their ride from Ruthmann’s headquarters in Gescher.

The T 1000 HF is designed for use across a range of industries, including rental, wind energy, construction and maintenance.

Ahead of the model’s launch in 2024 , two units have already been sold. One of them will be delivered to France-based rental company Joly, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

The company’s founder and owner Marcel Joly was present at APEX to confirm the order.

Mr Joly’s investment is particularly notable as, according to Ruthmann, he has said in the past that he would like to add a 100m Steiger model to the fleet before his 100th birthday.
