Eco-Energy expands TERC program with TERC-Biodiesel and TERC-Renewable Diesel

Clean energy and low-carbon solutions provider Eco-Energy LLC announced the expansion of its Transport Emission Reduction Certificate (TERC) program with the launch of TERC-Biodiesel and TERC-Renewable Diesel. These new TERC certificates are a voluntary carbon program designed to address heavy-duty diesel trucking emissions, offering a new avenue for companies to mitigate their carbon footprint, Eco-Energy said.

“This new option was a response to our buyer’s need for targeted carbon reduction strategies focused on on-road trucking in addition to TERC’s ethanol solution,” said Brian Simpson, chief marketing officer at Eco-Energy.

The TERC-Biodiesel and TERC-Renewable Diesel certificates are intended to meet the growing demand for actionable, verified solutions in sustainable transportation, Eco-Energy said. By choosing TERCs, companies with large Scope 3 emissions can demonstrate their commitment to environmental stewardship and align with evolving regulatory expectations.

According to Eco-Energy, all TERCs, including TERC-Biodiesel and TERC-Renewable Diesel, are housed on the Xpansiv Digital Fuels registry, ensuring transparency and traceability for every certificate.

Each TERC certificate represents a measurable reduction in emissions, Eco-Energy said, verified through rigorous third-party assessments, giving businesses confidence in their impact on carbon reduction.
