Established in 1969, Powertherm Maxim, brings more than 50 years of experience serving a wide range of markets including power generation, oil and gas, marine and industrial. Best known for its Maxim Silencer brand products, it is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and has branch offices in El Reno, Okla., and Odessa and Fort Worth, Texas.

Miratech acquired Powertherm Maxim from the Nesloney family. Powertherm’s president, Dennis Nesloney, and other members of the management team will stay on to maintain business continuity, Miratech said. Powertherm Maxim will continue to operate out of its Houston headquarters.

“The addition of Powertherm Maxim is an important and exciting acquisition as it helps us further serve our markets by increasing our capacity, product offerings, and customer reach,” said David Zenthoefer, Miratech CEO. “By integrating the Powertherm Maxim brands into our existing Miratech brand portfolio we will have one of the broadest and deepest product baskets in our space. With this addition we will provide an unmatched level of support for our clients and business partners, positioning us well for continued growth.”

The acquisition of Powertherm Maxim increases Miratech’s fabrication capacity by adding a 100,000 sq. ft. custom fabrication shop in Houston. This will complement Miratech’s existing manufacturing facilities in Tulsa, Okla., Prior Lake, Minn.; Knoxville, Tenn., Winnipeg, Canada, and Sinntal, Germany.

“We are excited to join the Miratech family,” said Nesloney. “Miratech and Powertherm are well respected in the industry and together we will continue to offer our customers market-leading products and customer service.”

The acquisition of Powertherm Maxim is the latest in a series of moves Miratech has made over the last several years to expand its product line and global footprint. In 2019, it purchased Germany’s Air-Sonic, a manufacturer of catalysts, silencers and SCR systems for stationary gas fired engines.
