Agenda announced for ACT Expo 2025
14 February 2025
Event looks to changing landscape, maximizing economics of clean transportation.
The organizers of the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, have announced the full, four-day event agenda for the 15th annual the commercial vehicle technology event, which will take place April 28-May 1 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Southern California.
Clean Transportation Solutions at TRC, the producers of ACT Expo, said this year’s agenda was designed to provide real-world, actionable intelligence to help fleets navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of commercial transportation technologies and policies, while staying competitive today and in the future.
“As fleets enter 2025, there are more questions than ever about the state of the clean vehicle industry, which technologies are really working, how to achieve a positive TCO, and a whole lot more. ACT Expo is the place where fleets can cut through the chaos and gain clarity on the best technologies and strategies to improve operational efficiency, drive sustainability, and gain a competitive advantage,” said Erik Neandross, president, Clean Transportation Solutions at TRC. “Our educational sessions are truly the best in the industry; we provide fleets with the tools to build a roadmap for the future that combines innovation with practical, real-world solutions and demonstrated expertise provided by other fleet operators.”

Highlights of the ACT Expo 2025 agenda include:
- Digital Workshop: Explore the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) in transportation, as well as case studies on truck autonomy and the role of software-defined vehicles in reshaping fleet operations.
- Fleet C-Suite Panel: Fleets that have achieved a competitive edge by integrating advanced vehicle technologies and fuels will share their forward strategies to stay ahead in a changing market.
- The Shifting Policy Landscape: Gain expert insight into how the federal administration change will impact commercial transportation policies and funding resources. Understand what regulators are enforcing and how leading fleets are designing their procurement plans amid possible policy changes.
- Sector-Specific Breakout Sessions: These in-depth, information-packed workshops will rival the entire agenda of other conferences. Sessions will cover the successful integration of advanced vehicles in sectors like drayage, warehouse, municipal, refuse, school bus, transit, last mile, regional haul, construction, utility fleets, food and beverage, and ports.
- Success Through Diversification: Learn about the latest industry innovations and fleet successes in using renewable natural gas, renewable diesel, and other alternative fuels, and how fleets are working to integrate multiple solutions into their ever-changing portfolio.
- Show Floor Theater: A variety of dynamic presentations covering timely topics such as microgrids, hydrogen transport, lightweighting, tire management, mobile power solutions and more.
- EV Charging Event: Learn how vehicle and charging manufacturers are accelerating a hardware shift, how that is impacting mass market adoption, and gain understanding of the multi-tenant EV charging depot movement.
- Hydrogen Workshop: Focused on the hydrogen supply chain, including production pathways, infrastructure innovations and investments that are driving efficiency and scaling the hydrogen economy. The workshop will also explore the growing market potential of hydrogen internal combustion engines (ICE), which offer long-range capabilities and faster refueling times compared to battery electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
- Shipper-Carrier Connect: This session will explore how collaboration between shippers and carriers is driving freight decarbonization efforts, and thus, investments in lower carbon fuels and cleaner technologies.
- Utility Workshop: Utility executives and regulators will spotlight their strategies to meet the growing capacity needs for commercial electric vehicles, including how they plan to balance competing demands, such as data centers and residential power needs.
- Innovation Tech Showcase: Breakthroughs in fleet technologies, including maintenance, vehicle electrification, next-gen lubricants, and more.
Since its inception in 2011, ACT Expo has provided fleet managers with hands-on access to a wide range of vehicles spanning all weight classes, applications, and fuel types, including battery-electric, hydrogen fuel cell, propane, and natural gas vehicles, along with autonomous and connected technologies and renewable fuels.
Last year’s 2024 event at the Las Vegas Convention Center reportedly drew more than 12,000 attendees. When the event returns to Anaheim this May, the organizers said it will feature roughly twice the expo hall space of the 2023 Anaheim event to accommodate the increasing number of exhibitors, advanced vehicles, and clean transportation solutions on display in the exhibit hall.
