Bauma China cancelled

Premium Content

Show organisers Messe München have announced that the Bauma China trade show, due to be held November 22-25, 2022, has been postponed to November 26-November 29, 2024, due to the continuing impact of Covid-19.

Ms. Xu Jia, General Manager of Messe München (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., said that it was a “regrettable” decision but the right one. “The first premise of holding a large-scale international expo like Bauma China is certainty, and it is necessary to ensure that the exhibition can achieve the expected quality and effect,” she said.

“There is a lot of uncertainty in the event that it will be held and achieve the expected results. In order to avoid economic losses to exhibitors and customers caused by the temporary delay, the organizer of the exhibition has taken a responsible attitude and has made a decision to inform exhibitors in a timely manner at this stage.”

Ms. Xu Jia added that the Chinese organizers agreed that the decision of Messe München fully considered the interests of all exhibitors, and making the decision in time is a difficult but wise move for all parties.

Bauma China was first held in 2002 and has grown into an event with a display area of 330,000 square meters, more than 3,000 exhibitors, and more than 200,000 visitors. The 2024 event will once again be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
