Chevron relaunches Clarity ashless hydraulic fluids

Chevron has announced the reintroduction of its Clarity line of premium ashless hydraulic oils, featuring Clarity EliteSyn AW and Clarity AW.

The refreshed product family is said to highlight Chevron’s commitment to delivering quality lubricants that deliver exceptional equipment protection and efficiency, while addressing the increasing demand for environmentally responsible solutions.

Chevron’s Clarity EliteSyn AW and Clarity AW deliver advanced performance for heavy-duty equipment in construction, marine, mining and industrial applications, especially in regions where reduced environmental impact is critical.

The Clarity line brings together advanced performance and environmental advantages that give operators confidence they won’t sacrifice sustainability for productivity.

Specifically, Clarity EliteSyn AW formerly Clarity Synthetic AW) offers a zinc-free, ashless formulation with no heavy metals, making it safer for people, wildlife and aquatic environments.

Formulated with Vartech technology, the product minimizes varnish and sludge build-up.

According to Chevron, the product has demonstrated efficiency gains of up to 13% in fuel savings and 11% in productivity in excavator field trials.

Additionally, superior oxidation and thermal stability deliver an operational lifetime in excess of 10,000 hours, while the pour point is below –40°C.

Clarity AW (formerly Clarity Hydraulic AW) offers many of the same features, while supporting extended oil life in industry pump and gear tests. High compatibility and filterability help to simplify the transition from zinc-based fluids.
