After five days of intensive work, over 200 presentations, discussion panels, poster sessions, social events and technical tours, the 30th CIMAC World Congress wrapped up in Busan, South Korea.

The 30th CIMAC World Congress featured over 200 presentations, discussion panels, poster sessions, social events and technical tours during its five-day run in Busan, South Korea.

Organizers said that more than 700 experts from all over the world attended the Congress. In his closing remarks, Congress President Kwang Hean An expressed his gratitude to all the participants for making the event a great success. He mentioned that this year’s congress has been particularly exciting, with some of the most visible advancements in the field of renewable fuels, increased digitalization, and a strong focus on reducing carbon footprint.

CIMAC is the leading global non-profit Association of the Internal Combustion Machinery Industry consisting of National Member Associations and Corporate Members in 27 countries in America, Asia and Europe.

The newly elected CIMAC president Rick Boom, Woodward, thanked the hosts and expressed his satisfaction with the course of the Congress.

“It has been a very intense week here in Busan. I learned a lot of new things and hope that many of the good ideas and suggestions that were given here can also be put into practice,” he said and added that it has been shown once again that personal contact and direct discussion among experts are irreplaceable.

The next CIMAC Congress will  take place in two years in Zurich, Switzerland, from May 19 to 23, 2025.
