Eminox to open new volume production plant in Slovakia
14 October 2021
Eminox has announced that it is to add to its current manufacturing capacity by opening a new production plant in Slovakia.
The UK-based emissions control specialist said the new plant is required to ‘meet the needs of its increasing global customer base’.
Eminox is also planning to make significant investments at its headquarters in Gainsborough, UK.
As the plan progresses, the Gainsborough site will focus on manufacturing specialised exhaust aftertreatment systems, while also becoming the centre of excellence for the company’s marine business and non-internal combustion engine (ICE) technology.
High-volume manufacturing will move to the new, purpose-built 5700 m2 factory which is set to open in Slovakia in 2022.
Eminox states that the investment will not result in any job losses at the HQ location. The company joint ventures in India and China will be unaffected by the changes.
Speaking about the expansion, Mark Runciman, MD at Eminox, said: “As the world looks to drastically reduce exhaust emissions, we need increase our manufacturing capacity to seize the tremendous opportunities we see across the globe. Our new investment will position us perfectly for the future, safeguarding our growth and our position at the heart of the local Gainsborough community.”
