GE announced that Jennifer Erickson, currently executive director, GE Global Communications, has been named Chief Communications Officer for GE effective immediately.
Erickson has served as executive director of GE Global Communications since 2015. In that role, she was responsible for developing and executing GE’s external communications strategy, including financial communications, issues and crisis management and external communications for the leadership team. In the new role, she will lead GE’s communications efforts globally, including internal/external communications, public affairs, executive communications and public relations. Erickson will report to Linda Boff, chief marketing & learning officer.
Prior to joining GE in 2013, Erickson spent more than 15 years at Motorola, where she last served as chief communications officer for Motorola Mobility. At Motorola, Erickson held several senior communications leadership positions, including that of vice president of global communications.
“Jen is a top strategic leader with a proven track record of communicating in times of change,” Boff said. “Her hard work, superb instincts and team leadership will be great assets as we continue to transform GE for the future.”
Erickson replaces Deirdre Latour, who left the company in March.
