Greenland Technologies introduces GEX-8000 electric excavator

Greenland Technologies has launched a its GEX-8000 Industrial Electric Excavator. The zero-emissions model has a maximum rated load of eight tonnes.

Powered by a 141 kWh li-ion battery, the GEX-8000 has a maximum operating time of nine hours and a recharge time of 1.5 hours. Details on the site of the New Jersey-based company state that recharge time is based on an optional 90 kW charging facility (60 kW input, 2.5 hours; 12 kW, 13 hours).

The motor delivers 46.5 kW/63.2 hp and a maximum digging force of 50 kN.

The new machine is described as being ideal for a series of industries, including agriculture, urban construction and waste management.

Raymond Wang, CEO of Greenland, commented: “This is an exciting development for us and we can’t wait to show off our latest vehicle to customers, which we believe delivers superior performance and a faster return on investment than traditional industrial vehicles.”
