Spanish genset manufacturer Himoinsa has revealed that almost half of its global revenue now comes from Europe.

The company, which has been present in Europe since the 1980’s, said that the region now accounts for 48% of its global turnover.

Turnover for the company increased by 21.3% in 2023 and by as much as 55% in 2022, having invested heavily in R&D projects (up by 10.3%) and new products, Himoinsa said.

“Product development is undoubtedly one of our most important growth levers, as are the integration of components and take-overs which allow us to offer our customers a 360º solution”, said Francisco Gracia, president and CEO of Himoinsa.

The company has also seen growth through the acquisitions of acoustic engineering solutions company Hispano Acústica and electronics systems development and manufacturing specialist Dismuntel.

Guillermo Elum, Himoinsa’s EMEA region head, said, “We have five commercial subsidiaries in Europe, four production centres and three logistics centres. We also have an extensive distribution network that allows us to take our products to every corner of Europe and provide the different markets with power technology solutions.

“One of the main reasons for our success in Europe is the fact that we are able to rely on solid distributors - we’ve been working with some of them for the past 30 years, which just goes to show the trust we place in them and the close cooperation we have with them, two aspects that have a positive impact on the satisfaction of our end customers.”

The increase in European revenues came as the company welcomed dealers to its facilities in Seville, Spain. During the event, the company showcased a number of its battery power storage systems, lighting towers and generator sets, including its gensets from the HS Stationary Range.

It also unveiled its latest model, the HCOMPACT+.
