04 January 2018

Only a few days into the new year and JCB said it started 2018 with the strongest order books in the company’s history.  JCB chief executive officer Graeme Macdonald said, “the outlook for 2018 is positive, with markets all over the world in exceptionally good shape.”

In support of its optimistic forecast, JCB said that over the past 12 months it has recruited more than 1200 people at its 11 UK factories in Staffordshire and Derbyshire in England and in Wales and has increased its purchasing globally to more than £2 billion annually (approximately $2.7 billion).

The company said it has also recently gone into production with a new range of site dumpers at its Staffordshire plant.
