The company said it has invested heavily in digitalised production, with automated welding systems now used across core structural components, achieving high levels of precision and consistency.
Lovol produces equipment including excavators, wheeled loaders, backhoe loaders, mining trucks, bulldozers and more.
The manufacturer is also using digital twin technology in its paint processes to improve efficiency and quality control, while automated guided vehicles and robotics are deployed across its production facilities to streamline operations.
Lovol said the approach forms part of a broader push towards more intelligent manufacturing systems as competition in the global construction equipment market intensifies.
“At the heart of industry competition is technological capability,” a senior executive at the company said. “We continue to invest in innovation to strengthen our position in a changing market.”
The company has developed an international research and development network, including an innovation centre in Japan, alongside multiple testing platforms covering areas such as hydraulics, machine performance and new energy powertrains.
Lovol is also drawing on resources from its parent group, Shandong Heavy Industry, including access to engines, hydraulic systems and electrification technologies.
In recent years, the company says it has expanded its product range in both conventional and alternative power segments. This includes large mining excavators and new energy machines, with a focus on electrification and hybrid systems.
Among its developments is a methanol-electric hybrid excavator, which the company said can reduce fuel costs and overall energy consumption compared with diesel-powered equipment.
Lovol said it is pursuing growth in both mainstream equipment categories and more specialised segments, including wheel excavators, backhoe loaders and autonomous mining trucks.
Alongside product development, the manufacturer is expanding its global service network. It said it has established service and parts distribution infrastructure across more than 100 countries, supported by a digital platform that enables remote monitoring, diagnostics and predictive maintenance.
The company added that the system is designed to reduce downtime and improve lifecycle support for customers, as demand grows for more connected and data-driven equipment solutions.
Lovol said its strategy is aimed at strengthening its position in international markets as the construction equipment sector continues to shift towards digitalisation, automation and lower-emission technologies.
