Steyr has introduced the new Spezial F CVT tractor range. The new model, said to mark a return by Steyr to the speciality tractor segment, is designed to work with high-value perennial crops in wider row systems, such as orchard fruits and hops.
Three models are available: 4100 Spezial F CVT; 4110 Spezial F CVT; and 4120 Spezial F CVT.
All models use a 3.6-liter engine supplied by FPT. Power output ranges from 100 to 120 hp (73.5 to 88 kW). A reversible fan on the engine ensures efficient cooling in dusty conditions.
As the names suggest, each of these variants uses the Steyr S-Control CVT transmission. Maximum transport speed is 50 km/h at 1,780 rpm.
A closed-centre load-sensing hydraulic system delivers 115 l/min flow to support multiple rear and side remote valves, enabling several operations to be carried out simultaneously in a single pass.
The rear linkage provides ample lifting capacity for a wide range of mounted implements.
Adaptive steering settings allow the operator to tailor movement to better negotiate tight spaces.
Other available systems include the S-Guide auto guidance, together with EasyTronic II and FieldOps connectivity.
“Specialty growers face unique challenges every day, from working in confined spaces and on difficult terrain to managing increasingly precise production requirements,” said Alessio Quatraro, product marketing manager at Steyr.
“With the Spezial F CVT, we are bringing the advanced technologies, comfort and efficiency that operators expect from a modern Steyr tractor into a dedicated solution for these unique farming applications.”
Steyr previously offered the Steyr 80 speciality tractors from 1979 to 1997.
