Yanmar completes acquisition of Claas India

Combines to be added to Yanmar’s product catalog

Yanmar Holdings Co. Ltd. has completed the acquisition of Claas India Pvt. Ltd. from Germany-based Claas Group through its joint venture company Yanmar Coromandel Agrisolutions Pvt. Ltd.
It has changed the company’s name to Yanmar Agricultural Machinery India Pvt. Ltd. (YAMIN).

The company’s combine harvesters will be added to Yanmar’s lineup. The company also said YAMIN, which employs 220 people, will produce combines and other agricultural machinery for the Indian market and the global market at its factory located in Morinda, Punjab, India.
“India is one of the world’s top grain producers and represents a crucial market for our agribusiness,” said Kemal Shoshi, President of Yanmar Agribusiness Co., Ltd, when the sale was announced in August 2024. “This acquisition will enable us to offer a wider range of products, significantly enhancing Yanmar’s presence in India...”
Yanmar Coromandel Agrisolutions is a joint venture between Yanmar and India-based Coromandel, a manufacturer and retailer of pesticide and fertilizer.
