Kobelco expands Trimble Earthworks through North American dealers
17 September 2025
Kobelco Construction Machinery USA has expanded its partnership with Trimble to offer the tech firm’s Earthworks 2D grade control platform directly through certified Kobelco dealers across North America.

Trimble said the move makes it easier for contractors to access machine guidance and semi-autonomous excavation features at the point of purchase.
The new collaboration allows select dealers to install and support Trimble Earthworks 2D systems in-house, with optional upgrades to full 3D functionality via the SITECH network.
Scott Crozier, vice president of civil construction field systems at Trimble, said, “We expect today’s announcement will make it easier for Kobelco customers to take advantage of seamless integration into the Trimble technology ecosystem.”
To support the rollout, Kobelco launched a dealer certification programme requiring training, demo equipment, spare parts inventory, and a dedicated technology champion at each participating location. Certified dealers can also finance grade control packages alongside equipment purchases and deliver faster installs using Kobelco’s built-in sensor mounts on select excavator models.
