Weichai holds partner conference, forecasts 2025 growth

Chinese engine OEM Weichai, which owns French OEM Moteurs Baudouin, has held its Global Partners conference in Weifang, China.
At the event, the engine manufacturer revealed that it is projecting exports to increase by 7.7% year-on-year across North America, Europe and SE Asia, largely driven by its range of power generation products for data centres.
In October 2024, the Chinese OEM presented the Weichai Baudoin 20M55 engine. The high-speed gen set model can deliver up to 4250 kWe and is designed specifically for the needs of data centre operators.
Weichai has based its full product lineup on 14 platforms which can deliver power outputs ranging from 18 to 4550 kW. The systems are intended for a various applications, including the forementioned data centres, together with financial institutions, public utilities and emergency services.
The engines can use a range of fuel options, including diesel, natural gas and biogas.
The company also highlighted its M series engines, which are intended for applications relate to mining and construction. They can be used in mining trucks, excavators and high-horsepower bulldozers.
Looking at the marine sector, Weichai now offers 21 different applicable engine series covering a broad range of power outputs. For use across fishing vessels through to coastal transports and high-speed ferries, the individual support a range of fuel types, including diesel, heavy oil, methanol, liquified natural gas and B100 biodiesel.
Weichai now operates eight manufacturing locations around the world supporting a diverse range of business sectors, including power systems, commercial vehicles, agricultural equipment, energy and power and marine transportation. Products are supported by a service network which has operations in more than 150 countries.
