XCMG signs 10 billion yuan of deals at Bauma China 2024

Chinese machinery OEM XCMG has reported signing contracts exceeding 10 billion yuan ($1.38 billion) at the recent Bauma China 2024 trade show.

The largest individual deal, valued at 3 billion yuan ($413 million), covered a deal to deliver more than 100 zero-emission heavy mobile units to Australian mining giant Fortescue. With deliveries set between now and 2030, machines include electric wheel loaders, dozers and graders.

The order is intended to support Fortescue’s goal of achieving zero-emission iron ore mining operations by 2030.

XCMG also finalised a strategic agreement with Tsingshan Holding Group to establish the XCMG-Tsingshan new energy equipment manufacturing plant in Indonesia. This will be the first XCMG plant in SE Asia.

Another deal finalised at Bauma China was a bulk order for wheel and crawler cranes worth more the 200 million yuan ($27.5 million). This includes the XCA4000, the world’s largest all-terrain crane; the XCA2000; and the XLC18000M and XLC17000 crawler cranes.

At Bauma China, XCMG held a series of machine premieres, including the XC9108EV, bille as the world’s largest pure electric loader; the GR350EP, the world’s first electric mining grader; the XCT100G5-1HEV, a 100-tonne hybrid crane; and the XE650GK-HEV hybrid hydraulic excavator, tailored for mining applications.
