Advanced interoperability and ISOBUS at EIMA
29 October 2026
The Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF), a global non-profit organization founded to improve cross-manufacturer compatibility in agricultural equipment, will exhibit, host sessions and participate in panels at EIMA International 2026, the International Exhibition of Machinery for Agriculture and Gardening, to be held in Bologna, Italy, Nov. 10-14.

The AEF has over 300 member companies worldwide who share the primary goal of ensuring seamless interoperability of ag equipment across brands by advancing and standardizing ISOBUS implementation.
“As the agricultural industry moves into new frontiers of wireless communication, data exchange and autonomy, the need for common standards becomes even more important,” said Norbert Schlingmann, AEF’s general manager. “The AEF brings the industry together to make sure new technologies can work across brands and systems so innovation does not create new barriers for farmers and manufacturers.”
At its EIMA booth, the organization will provide demonstrations of AgIN, the standardized framework for brand-independent agricultural data exchange. The team will have a simulator, as well as information about autonomy, WIC, High Speed ISOBUS, ISOBUS certification and more.
The AEF will also host three sessions in EIMA’s digital technology venue, the Digital Terrace. These sessions will explore ISOBUS certification and new functionalities, Tractor Implement Management (TIM) v.2 and autonomy, and the latest developments in the new Agriculture Interoperability Network (AgIN) and Wireless Infield Communication (WIC).
In addition, the organization will participate in two panels focused on autonomous tractors and machinery, and the benefits of AI, data spaces and interoperability to farmers.
