AGCO launches next-gen Valtra T

Premium Content

Valtra, the Finnish tractor brand of AGCO Corporation, has launched the sixth-generation Valtra T Series, which combines a redesigned high-performance platform, new powertrain solution, next-generation operator interfaces and integrated digital farming tools.

The 170- to 245-hp tractor integrates AGCO Power’s 7.5 L CORE75 six-cylinder engine delivering up to 1,184 Nm of torque (T236 model). The engine is paired with Smart Power Management, which automatically optimizes engine and transmission behavior to balance performance and fuel economy according to the task and operator’s preference. This allows the tractor to deliver strong pulling power from low engine speeds while helping reduce fuel consumption by up to 5% compared to the previous 74HD engine.* Operators can select Eco, Normal or Power modes depending on conditions.

The new model comes with a choice of the AGCO ML 180 continuously variable transmission (CVT) or a new 10-step powershift transmission, with transport speeds of up to 57 km/h. A 2,950-mm wheelbase, up to 575 mm of ground clearance and a turning radius of 4.9 meters facilitate stability, maneuverability and transport efficiency.

The 12-in. SmartTouch Gen2 high-resolution touchscreen boots up in just 22 seconds. It incorporates up to 12 configurable buttons, personalized operator and task profiles and configurable work screens that enable up to 16 different quadrants to be customized. Functions can be organized according to individual preferences, with integrated guidance, ISOBUS and implement management features to help streamline daily work. A new integrated help function offers expandable information and scannable QR codes.

Also available is the new Active Gen2 armrest, which provides a straightforward, intuitive control layout with dedicated controls and configurable functions for quick access to key tractor functions.

Both operating interfaces automatically and instantly sync with the A-Pilar display, keeping important information easily within eye line.

The tractor is factory-ready for PTx FarmENGAGE to help manage machine data, planning and communication between office and field. Additional automation features include Tractor Implement Management, Ground Speed Hydraulics and Front Linkage Control.

The sixth-generation T Series is now available for order with the first deliveries expected by the end of the year (subject to availability).
