13 January 2025
Following is a sampling of some of the significant advances on display at this year’s top tech industry event

CES 2025, held in Las Vegas last week, brought together the largest gathering of technological advancements across the globe and spread them across multiple locations throughout the city.

At the Las Vegas Convention Center, e-mobility and autonomy took center stage for many OEMs, with a number of them using the event to showcase solutions to address labor and skills gaps as well as help customers achieve their sustainability initiatives and requirements.
The event also enabled those in “mature” markets such as agriculture and construction to highlight the numerous advancements being achieved that put these sectors at the bleeding edge of technology innovation.

Following is just a sample of what was on display. Watch for more details to come on these and other products in future issues of Power Progress and online at PowerProgress.com.
Daedong, parent company of Kioti, highlighted its advanced agricultural solutions, including the AI Agri Robot RT100, which is available with transport or sprayer modules. The RT100 is scheduled to be launched later this year.

JLG showed the Galileo multi-use mobile elevating work platform, which can be used as both a telehandler and a boom lift, alongside the Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR), a mobile charging solution.
John Deere showed a suite of agricultural and construction equipment, including 460 P-Tier articulated dump truck, equipped with its autonomy kit for fully autonomous operation.

First-time CES exhibitor Komatsu used its booth to highlight concepts for extreme applications, including a lunar construction excavator and an underwater construction robot.
Kubota’s booth included multiple concept machines this year, including a fully autonomous orchard sprayer, hydrogen-powered generator and the CES Award-winning KATR all-terrain, multifunctional robot.

Oshkosh highlighted its ability to deliver innovative electromobility solutions for a variety of industry segments, including fire trucks and refuse vehicles. Autonomy often was displayed hand-in-hand with electrified concepts, including an electric-powered autonomous ground support vehicle and an autonomous refuse robot.
