Construction equipment manufacturer Develon will unveil its first electric wheeled excavator at the TKD Fair in the Netherlands next week as part of a new zero-emission product line.

The DX160WE-7 electric wheeled excavator will be on display at the event, which Develon said marks a significant step in its European roadmap for electrification.

The model is the first in a new electric range being introduced by the OEM, based on its existing platforms and aimed at delivering cleaner, quieter, and more sustainable construction equipment.

The company has developed the new machines in collaboration with Dutch electric drive system specialist ETEC Zero Emission. The two companies worked together to integrate electric drivetrains into several machines.

In addition to the DX160WE-7, the electric range includes two crawler excavators based on the DX225LC-7 platform. Customers will be able to choose from multiple battery configurations, including extended range packs designed to support a full working day on a single charge.

Develon said the electric models will be fully branded and supported within its network, ensuring consistent levels of distribution, service and product confidence.

It added that the new electric machines are designed to meet job site regulations while offering quiet, efficient operation and high productivity in tough working conditions.
