Dura-Bar Buys Lokey Metals

Charter Dura-Bar has acquired the iron distribution business of Lokey Metals, Fort Worth, Texas which now becomes the fourth branch of the Dura-Bar Metal Services business.  Dura-Bar said the acquisition strengthens its ability to serve the oil and gas and fluid power industries in the American oilfield services industry and in the American Southwest.  Terms of the acquisition were not announced.

“This strategic acquisition allows us the strengthen our product development initiatives and specification relationships with original equipment manufacturers while continuing to grow the Dura-Bar business in the heart of the American oilfield services industry and in the American Southwest,” said Pete Murray, president of Charter Dura-Bar.

Charter Dura-Bar said it will maintain the Lokey Metals brand name and continue operate the Ft. Worth facility.
