Prolectric launches solar BESS system
24 September 2025
Lighting and renewable power company Prolectric has launched a three-phase solar battery energy storage system (BESS) at the Plantworx exhibition being held in the UK this week.
The ProCharge BESS combines 12 440W solar panels with 120kWh battery energy storage. It is designed for “high demand” applications requiring up to 45kVA, and will integrate seamlessly with diesel generators, typically 100kVA gensets.
Prolectric said the ProCharge can create a hybrid setup for powering site compounds and to charge machines such as electric telehandlers, small EVs, battery-powered all-terrain vehicles, mini excavators and dumpers.
It offers three times the output power and 3.5 times the battery capacity of Prolectric’s single-phase system, the 120kWh BESS.

The product is being introduced following prototype testing with some of the UK’s largest contractors. For example, Prolectric said a trial at the ‘A417 Missing Link’ road project in Gloucestershire saved contractor Kier more than £32,500 in 5 months with a projected annual saving of over £69,000.
The skid-mounted unit is designed to work with standard UK three-phase distribution boards and can help operators reduce carbon emissions and cut fuel costs.
At the Plantworx show, Prolectric worked with the Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) on its Site Sustainability Showcase, bringing together solar, hydrogen, electric, battery-powered, and hybrid technologies in one space.
