Entries are now open for the bauma Innovation Awards, for which the ceremony and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 6 April at the International Congress Center in Munich before the world’s largest construction show begins the following day.

Innovations that have been presented to the public since 2022 or have not yet been published are eligible. The deadline for entries starts on 2 May 2024 and ends on 23 August 2024.

Entries can submit their innovations in five categories:

Category 1: Climate protection

Category 2: Digitalisation

Category 3: Mechanical engineering

Category 4: Construction

Category 5: Research

All entries must submit their information through the website: www.bauma-innovationspreis.de.

Bauma Munich will be held from 7-13th April in Munich, Germany.

This news follows the successful hosting of Intermat in Paris, which saw more than 127,000 visitors attend the show in Paris last week, with 21% of those from outside of France. There were 1,065 exhibitors, including 68% non-French companies.

This year’s Intermat took a different format from past shows, losing two days and running from Wednesday to Saturday. That had an inevitable impact on visitor numbers, with the 127,500 figure a reduction of more than a quarter on the 173,300 in 2018 and the 183,000 from 2015. The show also held its own innovation awards.
