Italian engine manufacturer FPT Industrial has opened its first distributor in Brazil. Brasif Máquinas has been named a Master FPT distributor covering São Paulo and Minas Gerais states. The move is part of FPT’s strategic plan to grow its presence in the Latin American market.

“After the launch of Euro Torque, the first Master FPT distributor in Argentina, Brazil’s turn has come to get closer to their customers,” said Marco Rangel, FPT Industrial president for Latin America. “Brasif will be the main reference in post-sales for FPT Industrial in the region. It means the extension of the plant, closer to the final client.”

Brasif has had a long-term partnership with CNH Industrial, the parent of FPT Industrial, as it has been a Case Construction Equipment dealer since 1970. “We are sure that this new business will allow new opportunities to Brasif Máquinas,” said Gustavo Avelar, Brasif Máquinas’ CEO.

In the future, other states, such as Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, Goiás, Distrito Federal and Tocantins, may get distributors, the company said. Brasif will operate from facilities in Jundiaí city, São Paulo state, and Belo Horizonte city, Minas Gerais state. Services include supply of genuine parts and technical assistance for engines, vehicles, vessels and power generation systems.
