Gen-sets remote monitoring
11 April 2021
Italy-based VISA SpA was recently technical sponsor of the FIS Alpine World Sky Championship in Cortina, Italy, where it supplied a large fleet of Onis Visa generator sets, all powered by FPT Industrial’s engines, a long-time partner of Visa and equipped with the latest remote monitoring and control system Onis Visa WebSupervisor.
The supply included more than 50 units in various configurations and with different power outputs, meeting stringent limits in terms of environmental impact and noise emissions. All gen-sets have been supplied via Visa’s rental service, Visa Rent, that also made available 24/7 a team of specialized technicians, capable of coping with any type of emergency.
The Onis Visa WebSupervisor remote monitoring and control is a cloud-based system designed to monitor Visa’s control units via a 4G connection module. The company explained that this system allows to optimize the management of gen-set fleets, as every single unit can be individually controlled for all main operational parameters.
WebSupervisor also delivers full reports for maintenance planning and for asset utilization per each gen-set. In Cortina, the remote monitoring system was supported by Visa’s technical team always ready to intervene with personnel on site.
