Mann+Hummel Completes Affinia Buy

Mann+Hummel, a Germany-based global specialist in filtration solutions for the automotive and mechanical engineering industries, said it has finalized its acquisition of the global filtration operations of Affinia Group, manufacturer of Wix and Filtron brand filters. Affinia’s filtration business specializes in the oil, fuel, hydraulic and coolant filter aftermarket.
Mann+Hummel said it would lead the acquired filtration business as a new business unit based in North Carolina. Keith Wilson, previously president and CEO of Affinia, will serve as president and CEO of the new Mann+Hummel Filtration Technology business unit and report to Manfred Wolf, the supervisory board chairman of the acquired company.
