Miniature Pressure Sensor

Premium Content

24 August 2017

Piezocryst Advanced Sensorics introduced a new version of the CP501 miniature pressure sensor – the CP521 – for monitoring of pressure pulsations at high temperatures and extreme conditions in compressors, gas turbines or turbochargers.

Designed as flush mounted sensor with 10-32 UNF thread, 2-mm hardline cable and high-temperature extension cable (500°C), the CP521 was optimized for simple installation in demanding environments while keeping the robustness and signal quality of the M5-sized sensor CP501, the company said.

Capable of 560°C maximum temperature and 500°C in permanent use, the sensor features Piezocryst’s GaPO4 sensing elements and Crystal Match technology that enables precise measurements even at high-temperature gradients.

Thanks to its excellent signal to noise ratio and compact design, the sensors are well suited for a wide range of applications. Customized and fast track versions are available.
