Fabbri replacing Marino as company head

The Board of Directors of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, which met today under the chairmanship of Giovanni Gorno Tempini, has designated Fabrizio Fabbri as Chief Executive Officer of Ansaldo Energia, a company controlled by CDP Equity, to replace the outgoing Giuseppe Marino.

Marino resigned earlier this year to take the role of CEO at Hitachi Rail Group. His last day is March 31.

Fabbri, 58, comes from EthosEnergy, where he served as executive vice president, East Hemisphere. EthosEnergy provides a range of products and services for turbines, generators and transformers. It serves the power generation, oil & gas, industrial and aerospace markets.

Prior to that role, he served as CEO of Alstom Power Italy as well as several roles at GE and Nuovo Piognone.

Ansaldo Energia manufactures gas turbines in the range from 70 to 280 MW.
