NFPE Control Option For Danfoss MP1 Pumps

Premium Content

16 February 2018

Targeted for off-highway applications such as compact wheel loaders, dumpers, sweepers and telehandlers, Danfoss Power Solutions has introduced a new non-feedback proportional electric (NFPE) control option for its MP1 closed circuit axial piston hydraulic pumps. The NFPE control expands the MP1 control portfolio allowing for further customization of the pumps.

The NFPE control will be available in the first quarter of 2018 as a standard option for all MP1 frame sizes (28/32 and 38/45cm³). The scope of MP1 applications is broadened with the control portfolio that now includes 3-position electric control, electrical displacement control, manual displacement control and the new NFPE control.

Implementing the NFPE control option enables OEMs to use the MP1 pump as an automotive type control solution, as it combines the MP1 pump portfolio with existing Danfoss controllers and software, said John Heller, director of product marketing with Danfoss Power Solutions.

The MP1 pump is designed to help OEMs provide machine control for customers while speeding up the design process, improving time to market and offering options in connectivity and data capture through telematics.

The NFPE control option to the MP1 line-up also provides built-in flexibility through common pump platforms for controls and porting; this modularity is designed to reduce manufacturing variation for simplified component sourcing and improves time to market.
