Stellar highlights Hybrid Power Source

Stellar Industries, a manufacturer of work trucks, trailers and service truck and van accessories, is featuring its Hybrid Power Source (HPS) at ConExpo-Con/Agg, March 3-7, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nev.

The HPS works with both internal combustion engine and electric vehicle chassis to deliver 100% emissions-free, low-voltage energy to operate hydraulic tools, cranes, compressors and stabilizers without relying on the chassis engine. The fully integrated system combines automotive-grade lithium-ion technology with a modular hydraulic power system to provide up to 12.8 kWh of output and up to eight hours of runtime.

The modular battery design allows for configurations scalable across multiple vehicle types. Integrated thermal protection allows for use in extreme climates and a heating system maintains optimal charging temperatures in cold conditions.

When charging is required, the system automatically uses the truck’s alternator – even while driving to the next jobsite – or a standard 120V connection to recharge.

The 790-lb. self-contained system can be mounted in the load bed or side pack of new builds or retrofits. Internal flow and pressure control enable consistent hydraulic performance equal to or greater than traditional power take-off (PTO) systems, Stellar stated, without the noise, emissions or maintenance demands.

The HPS is one of 10 finalists in the equipment category of the ConExpo-Con/Agg Next Level Awards, which honor outstanding achievement and breakthroughs in the construction industry. Attendees are encouraged to visit the finalists’ exhibits to learn more about these products and solutions before they cast their vote. Winners will be crowned on the Ground Breakers Stage on Friday, March 6.
