Technologies for CO2 neutrality focus of NPP Summit

Technologies designed to reduce CO2 emissions will become a part of every type of machine and vehicle in the coming years.
And that ‘s the theme – Technologies for CO2 neutrality – and focus of the upcoming New Power Progress Summit May 3, which will highlight what global manufacturers are doing to meet the challenge of greenhouse gas emissions.
The virtual event, which is free, will be kicked off by a key executive at Cummins, which has been among the most active companies in the industry in expanding its capabilities in alternative engines, electrification, hydrogen and fuel cells.

Amy Davis, president of Cummins New Power, will deliver the keynote address at the New Power Progress Summit, discussing the status of alternative powertrain technologies for on- and off-road applications.
Davis joins a powerhouse lineup of speakers at the online event, which will begin at 3 pm (UK: BST), 4 pm (EU: CET), 9 am (USA: CST). The theme of the NPP Summit is “Technologies for CO2 neutrality.”
Other speakers include:
- Tim Burnhope, JCB’s chief innovation and growth officer, who will discuss the company’s progress with hydrogen internal combustion engines.
- ZF’s Peter Tepfenhart, product manager for Construction Machinery Systems and David Stockbauer-Muhr, head of Electric Systems Development for Off Highway, who will talk about ZF’s efforts in electrified drivetrain technologies for off-highway applications.
- Benjamin Oszfolk, systems engineer at Rolls-Royce Power Systems, who will discuss fuel cell technology.
- Deepak Shekhar, product manager for e-Mobility Solutions at Scania, who will speak on electrification technology for industrial applications.
The NPP Summit 2021 was a highly successful event, with 1636 registered delegates from 695 companies. Delegates came from 68 countries, highlighting the global reach of the event.
