Effective immediately, Christine Grotz, who has served as CEO since June 2017, is handing over overall operational responsibility to Yannick Weber. Weber has served as chief operating officer (COO) and a member of the executive board since September 2023.

As technical managing director, Weber is responsible for production and plant-related operations for the group’s production sites in Germany, Austria and Poland. In his new role as CEO, he will combine his operational experience with overall responsibility for the corporate group.

In addition, effective January 1, 2027, Jochen Strauß, currently with MLOG Logistics GmbH, will join the Executive Board as chief corporate officer (CCO). He will be responsible for the group’s administrative functions and the further development of group-wide processes.

Yannick Weber said the group will continue to be led “with a clear division of responsibilities and a shared vision for its long-term development.”

“For our employees, customers and partners, this carefully planned transition and the new leadership structure above all represent reliability and continuity,” he added.

“It was important to me to arrange the succession early and reliably,” said Grotz. “Yannick Weber knows our corporate group, our locations and our markets very well. With Jochen Strauß, we are gaining an experienced executive who sensibly complements our future leadership structure.”

Grotz, the granddaughter of company founder Emil Weber, will remain a managing partner until she steps down from the executive board in the spring of 2027 and will then join the advisory board. As a shareholder, she will remain closely connected to the company.

“It is of particular importance to me and the entire family that the company remains autonomous and independent,” Grotz stated. “We have once again expressly reaffirmed this commitment as part of the planning for my retirement. The younger generations also support this path.”
