North American debut for MF 5M Series utility tractors
27 August 2025

AGCO has introduced the Massey Ferguson 5M Series utility tractors to North America at the Farm Progress Show, taking place this week in Decatur, Ill. (USA). The new line of tractors is built for livestock work, hay handling, roadside mowing and more.
The series consists of four models powered by AGCO Power four-cylinder, Stage V diesel engines ranging from 105 to 145 hp and featuring an “All-in-One” emissions system. The engine is located beneath the cab, with the exhaust in line with the front, right-hand cab post to enable all-around visibility.
The tractors are available with a 12x12 transmission or a Dyna-4 transmission that provides clutch-free control of 16 forward and 16 reverse speeds and a 25-mph (40 km/h) Eco top speed. An open-center, 15.3-gpm (58-lpm) hydraulic system is standard; a 26.4-gpm (100-lpm) system is optional.
The MF 5M Series comes with a choice of cab or open platform configurations and two chassis sizes. The larger frame on the 135- and 145-hp models delivers up to 11,500 lb. of lift capacity, suited for heavier loads and improved stability.
Key features include a 15.3-ft. (4.65 m) turning radius for enhanced maneuverability, brake-to-neutral system for smoother loader operation and a 52-gal. fuel tank to support longer shifts.
The spacious operator environment includes a mechanical joystick with a third-function button for handling attachments and a completely flat floor and car-style pedals. For added comfort, the cab provides upgraded heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) capabilities, with options for an air-suspended swivel seat, LED work lights and a Visio roof to improve overhead visibility.
The MF 5M Series is available with ISOBUS Light and Auto-Guide-ready options, as well as Massey Ferguson’s TaskDoc Basic to support better input tracking and field documentation.
The simplified Stage V emissions system supports fuel efficiency and cleaner operation, while accessible service points and extended maintenance intervals reduce downtime and increase productivity, AGCO added.
