Allengra has introduced a new hydrogen flow meter. The ultrasonic sensor unit has been specifically developed to measure hydrogen and hydrogen blends, delivering both mass flow and volume data, together with an indication of gas composition (to within +/- 3%).

Further features include an integrated temperature sensor, humidity sensor and pressure sensor, all of which are key to achieving efficient use of hydrogen as a fuel.

Operational pressure range is between 0.8 and 15 bar and operational temperature range is between -20 and 85ºC.

Flow range measurement for the DN15 version extends from 10 to 1000 litres per minute. The DN20 covers a range from 20 to 1700 litres per minute.

The physical connection for the DN15 measures ¾ of an inch. The DN20 has a 1” connector (both units have an overall length of 173 mm).

The Allengra hydrogen flow meter can deliver collected data for analysis via CAN bus or Modbus connections.

Allengra has been selected as the fuel flow sensor supplier for Formula 1 cars starting in the 2026 season when the field switches to using 100% sustainable fuel.
