According to Doosan, Bobcat first introduced a backhoe loader in India in 2019, but the B760’s availability – slated for either late this year or early 2025 – will be a first for the North American market.

The machine comes with a standard-equipped extendable arm that provides up to 8 in (20cm) of additional dig-depth compared to other units of the same size, said Bobcat.

It has a lift capacity more than 2,200 lbs (998kg) at full reach, an 18-ft-5-in (2.6m) digging-depth, and offers nearly 180-degrees of backhoe swing.

The B760 has a turbocharged 3.4-litre Bobcat engine. The company said it achieves emission compliance without the use of a diesel particulate filter.

Jamison Wood, Bobcat product development specialist, said, “The backhoe loader is designed for durability, easy operation, simple maintenance and incredible performance. Its size keeps it accessible on sites with limited space, while its impressive travel speeds keep operators productive across large job sites.”

The new Bobcat backhoe was on display at the American Public Works Association PWX Conference from 8-11 September in Atlanta, Georgia, US. It will be available from Bobcat dealerships as early as this year.
