Terex Advance is to present its first all-electric mini mixer truck at this year’s ConExpo-CON/AGG construction exhibition, which takes place next week in Las Vegas, US.

The unit represents the all-electric option being offered across the company’s Mini Mix truck range. It aims to meet the needs of ready mix conrete “producers and contractors with a small volume mixer for short loads or tight spaces” .

Dave Grabner, general manager of Terex Advance, said, “This is the first of our foray into zero-emission concrete mixer trucks as we strive to reduce our carbon footprint and provide highly efficient concrete delivery trucks to support the growing needs of our expanding customer base.”

The electric mini mixer truck, which will be on display in the Silver Lot on stand S5435, features an International eMV SEries electric chassis from Navistar and incorporates Viatex SmartPTO technology.

“As configured on a 33,000 GVWR International eMV Series electric chassis, the barrel carrying capacity is three cubic yards of concrete,” said Grabner. “Coupled with the Viatec SmartPTO, this provides an approximate 135-mile range and up to two pour cycles between charges.”

He added, “Not only does our electric mini mixer produce zero carbon emissions, but it also operates at a very low noise level.”

Terex Advance’s all-electric option further builds on the company’s relationship with engine specialist Navistar, with which Terex Utilities worked with on its electric bucket trucks.

Debbie Shust, vice president of medium duty truck business at Navistar, said, “This partnership demonstrates the success of collaboration and technology integration in the vocational space to provide an electric concrete mixer that offers customers the performance they need while they work to meet their own sustainability goals.”
