Comer Industries Opens Plant In India

Premium Content

07 June 2016

Comer Industries India Private Ltd., a subsidiary company of Comer Industries Spa, opened a new production facility in Bangalore, India. The all-new Bommasandra plant incorporates advanced manufacturing technologies and will produce axles and transmissions in the company’s Powertrain product line for India and the Asia Pacific region.

Within the 4500 m² plant floor, component production will be dedicated to construction machinery, specifically self-loading concrete mixers, front end loaders, asphalt pavers, soil compactors, telescopic handlers and speciality vehicles.

The Bommasandra plant began initial axle production in April and has been ramping up to include the company’s entire range of axles to meet local requirements. Comer Industries plans to introduce additional transmissions for agricultural and off-highway machinery to meet the growing demands of the Indian market.

Comer Industries is also developing a local supply chain to contribute towards India’s “Make In India” policy.
