Driveshafts, U-Joints, And Travel Drives
07 April 2019
Walterscheid Powertrain Group exhibits in Hall A3, stand 239 some new components: the B3000 series of Double Universal Joints (DUJ), the continuously variable travel drive ICVD S1N 370V, and the Mechanics Synergy series of driveshafts.
The DUJ B3000 series allows the transmission of up to 20% more torque without increasing space requirements in comparison with the previous B300 series along with a substantial weight saving. The first size B3310 is now in production for the launch customer’s pre-series production model, while size B3320 is in advanced state of development.
The new continuously variable travel drive ICVD S1N 370V provides tractive force through the entire speed range up to 40 km/h without a shifting process or interruption. This has an important effect on energy efficiency especially for full vehicle power management systems with one motor powering different components. The ICVD P370, with 130 kW power capacity, is compact and weights approximately 200 kg. It was designed in a joint development project by Walterscheid and Danfoss Power Solutions.
Mechanics Synergy driveshafts have been developed from the existing and proven Mechanics Series U-Joints range with new design characteristics. The new range is available in sizes 3C to 10C.
