Power Machines names new general director

Russian power equipment company Power Machines has named Alexander Konyukhov the company’s new general director.

He replaces Timur Lipatov, who has left the company by agreement of the parties.

Konyukhov previously worked as deputy general director for Controlling at Severgroup LLC.

“Timur Lipatov managed to stabilize the work of the company in difficult conditions,” said Alexey Mordashov, chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC Power Machines. “I thank him for all the great work that he has done to put things in order and develop the company. The challenges facing Power Machines require a new approach and effort. I am sure that the rich experience, knowledge and energy of Alexander Konyukhov will allow the company to reach a qualitatively higher level of work.”

Russia’s Power Machines has named Alexander Konyukhov the company's new general director.

Konyukhov graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the Russian State University for the Humanities, then postgraduate studies at the State Academy of Oil and Gas named after V.I. Gubkin and Zavolzhsky Automotive Technical School, specializing in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He holds an EMBA degree from the Stockholm School of Economics.

He worked for Severstal, Zavolzhsky Motor Plant, Kulebaksky Metallurgical Plant Ruspolymet, and Sukhoi Company. Alexander Konyukhov from 2016 to 2020 was the general director of PJSC Tupolev and at the same time the vice president of UAC for strategic and special aviation. From 2020 to February 2021, he held the position of Advisor to the General Director of the State Corporation Roscosmos. In February 2021, he was appointed Deputy General Director for Controlling at OOO Severgroup.
