Renk Opens Test Facility For Gears

Renk, a specialist in gears, transmissions and components for propulsion systems and member of the MAN Group  inaugurated a new test facility for gears in its headquarters in Augsburg, Germany.
Renk said the facility has a power capacity up to 12 MW at 10 r/min, torque up to 11 million Nm. The test equipment has a capability for 100 000 L oil, while the cooling system contains about 300 000 L of water.
The facility is designed to test special Renk gears and propulsion systems, but will also be available to other manufacturers in different industrial areas, the company said.
