Solectrac moves into new assembly facility
06 April 2022
Electric tractor manufacturer Solectrac has completed a move into its new manufacturing facility in Windsor, California.
Solectrac’s new 36,000 square foot assembly plant features additional assembly lines to support the expanding model range. In addition, the facility includes office space, training facilities and part storage to support dealers.
The new factory is expected to reach capacity operations by June this year.
Solectrac tractors are said to be capable of directly replacing similar-sized diesel tractors, while eliminating emissions and noise. Offering four-wheel drive, the tractors require significantly less maintenance as the powertrain only has one moving part.
“With the global agriculture market continuing its transition to electrification, we are pleased to expand our facilities so we can continue to scale up our operations, delivering best-in-class electric tractors to hobby farmers, vintners, rural lifestylers, commercial farmers and multi-acreage landowners,” said Mani Iyer, CEO, Solectrac.
Production over 2022 will focus on the e25 electric tractor. This will be followed by the new e70 in late Q4, featuring a series of upgrades and enhancements.
