New Takeuchi CTL features EH controls

Electric-over-hydraulic (EH) controls enable greater precision and less fatigue.

Takeuchi’s sixth model in its compact track loader (CTL) product line, the TL11R3, includes electric-over-hydraulic (EH) controls for greater precision in loader arm, bucket and travel speed operation, the company stated. The advanced EH controls also enable operators to instantly switch between ISO and H patterns through the machine’s monitor to match their preferences.

The TL11R3 has an operating weight of 11,650 lb. (canopy model), a rated operating capacity of 2,735 lb. (35% of tipping load) and a bucket breakout force of 7,958 lb. Power is provided by a 3.8 L Kubota diesel engine rated 107.3 hp at 2,600 rpm, with maximum torque of 271.4 ft.-lb. at 1,500 rpm. It meets Tier 4 Final emissions standards with a DOC, DPF and SCR aftertreatment system.

The new model has a ground pressure of 4.71 (canopy) or 4.84 psi (cab) with a ground clearance of 12.4 in., enabling optimal flotation, traction and stability for navigating on challenging terrain. The undercarriage includes heavy-duty sealed rollers with metal face seals to keep dirt and debris out, while double-reduction planetary drives and 18-in. tracks deliver enhanced tractive effort.

According to Takeuchi, the radial-lift boom design on the TL11R3 is engineered to deliver enhanced breakout forces for greater lifting power with fewer moving parts. Rugged steel construction and a one-piece, purpose-built, fully welded frame offer more strength and rigidity while protecting the engine and hydraulics.

The CTL comes in standard- and high-flow configurations, with flow rates and attachment presets adjustable from inside the cab. The high-flow configuration delivers up to 40 gpm of auxiliary flow for use with more powerful attachments such as mulchers, cold planers and stump grinders.

Both configurations have a 14-pin connector to enhance versatility and functionality for a range of attachments. Canopy models come with a mechanical universal quick attach while cab models have a hydraulic universal quick attach. A 270-degree rearview camera comes standard on the high-flow configuration and is optional on the standard-flow configuration.

The CTL’s self-leveling up-and-down feature automatically keeps the bucket or attachment level while raising or lowering the loader arm for improved load handling. Fourteen-pin detent provides continuous power to electrically operated attachments for uninterrupted operation.

Operators can also adjust the track loader’s boom, bucket and travel sensitivity to match their needs for greater control during high-precision work. In low-clearance environments, the arm height limit feature prevents the loader arm from exceeding a predetermined height.

Inside the operator compartment is a six-way, adjustable high-back suspension seat and an 8-in. touchscreen display for real-time machine vitals and visibility to the rearview camera, as well as access to the Bluetooth radio, HVAC controls and other machine functions.

Takeuchi’s Fleet Management (TFM) telematics system comes standard for five years.
